Stainless steel aircraft cable connected to 1 cable receptacles and 2 clamping set screws, Set screw clamp grip for light and medium pulls in 1.5" or larger conduit. IMPORTANT: To avoid a pulling hazard, use the following maximum load ratings. 1800 pounds maximum when a single wire grip collar is used. 3600 pounds maximum on a wire grip pair. NOTE: The grip head should not be more than 70% filled nor less than 30% filled to assure that the set screw does not project above the surface of the grip body when the set screws are tightened down. CABLE PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS: Strip approximately three inches of insulation off the ends of the cables to be pulled. The cable may be reduced in diameter as follows: 1. The central core should be clipped away and the outer strands used in the grip head. 2. Using the Allen Wrench provided, back out the set screws far enough to accomodate the stripped cables. 3. Insert the bare wire strands into the grip head as far as they will go. 4. Tighten both set screws in each grip jaw securely against the conductors. 5. CAUTION: If the set screws extend above the surface of the gripping head, damage to the conduit could result. To prevent this, wrap the head with electrical tape. The Wire Grip contains the following: One Each Wire Grip One Each Allen Wrench 4 clamping screws (There are 4 clamping screws in total: 2 long ones are suitable for clamping thinner wires, and 2 short ones are suitable for clamping thicker wires)
